Zapier
Guide for connecting Zapier to Synci

Zapier lets you connect Synci to 8,000+ apps β Google Sheets, Notion, Slack, Airtable, email, and almost anything else β without writing a single line of code. Whenever something happens to your banking data in Synci (a new transaction, an updated balance, and more), Zapier can automatically pass it along to wherever you want it to go.
Zapier works a little differently from our other destinations. Instead of connecting an account inside Synci, you build automations ("Zaps") on Zapier's side. Synci then sends data to those Zaps automatically via webhooks. You don't have to create or manage anything manually. Synci takes care of the webhooks for you.
Getting access to the Synci app on Zapier
The Synci integration on Zapier is currently invite-only. To get started, accept the invite using the link below. It can be opened from anywhere, at any time:
π Accept the Synci + Zapier invite
Once you've accepted, the Synci app will be available to you when building Zaps on Zapier.
Creating your first Zap
Head to Zapier and click Create Zap.
For the Trigger, search for and select Synci.
Choose the event you want to trigger your automation (for example, New Transaction). See the full list of available events below.
Connect your Synci account when prompted, and select which financial accounts the Zap should listen to.
Add an Action β this is where your data goes. For example, "Create a row in Google Sheets" or "Send a Slack message".
Test and turn on your Zap.
That's it. From now on, Synci will automatically send matching events straight to your Zap.
Webhooks are handled for you
When you create and enable a Zap that uses Synci as a trigger, Synci automatically generates a webhook behind the scenes to deliver data to that Zap. You'll see these listed in your Synci dashboard as Zapier webhooks.
You don't need to set these up, copy URLs, or manage secrets β it all happens automatically:
β Turn a Zap on β its webhook is created and starts sending data.
β Disable or delete a Zap β its webhook is automatically disabled in Synci.
This keeps your Synci dashboard tidy and ensures data is only ever sent to Zaps that are actually active.
Available events
Every Synci webhook event type is available in Zapier. You can build automations around any of the following:
You can use as many of these as you like across different Zaps β for example, one Zap that logs every new transaction to a spreadsheet, and another that pings you in Slack whenever a balance drops.
What data does Synci send to Zapier?
For privacy, Synci automatically strips sensitive bank identifiers (such as full account numbers, IBAN, and BBAN) from everything sent to Zapier. Each event includes the data relevant to it β transaction details, balances, or holdings β along with non-sensitive account information like the account name and currency, so you always have enough context to build powerful automations without exposing sensitive details.
Ideas to get you started
π Log every new transaction to a Google Sheet or Airtable base.
π¬ Get a Slack or email alert when a large transaction comes in.
π Append spending to a Notion database for budgeting.
π₯ Forward balance updates to your own internal tools or dashboards.
